Traditional Japanese calligraphy meets modern visual art.

書家・デザイン書道作家。

幼少より書道を始め、太源書道会理事長・北野攝山に師事。

毎日書道展9年連続入選。
第60回・第61回ではU23奨励賞、第66回毎日書道展では秀作賞を受賞。

2012年、第47回高野山競書大会にて約11万点の中から最高賞「弘法大師賞」を受賞。

現在は大阪府の高等学校書道科非常勤講師として活動するほか、イベントロゴ、番組タイトル、ショップロゴ、空間演出など、“現代に響く書”をテーマに幅広く制作を行っている。

また、尺八奏者・伴英将との共演による書道パフォーマンスでも活動中。

Sosui Ban is a Japanese calligrapher and visual lettering artist.

She began practicing calligraphy in childhood and studied under master calligrapher Sessan Kitano.

Her works have been selected for the Mainichi Shodo Exhibition for nine consecutive years, receiving multiple awards including the U23 Encouragement Prize and the Excellence Prize.

In 2012, she won the prestigious Kobo Daishi Award at the Koyasan Calligraphy Competition, selected from approximately 110,000 entries.

Today, she works as a calligraphy instructor while also creating logos, title lettering, visual artwork, and live calligraphy performances that connect traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern design.
