PALMTONE RECORDSは、「どこか懐かしい。でも、今の時代にもちゃんと響く」
そんな作品を作りたいという思いから始まったレーベルです。
音楽には、その時代ごとの空気があります。
70年代、80年代、90年代。
人の心を動かしたメロディーや言葉には、今も消えない力があると感じています。
だからこそ私たちは、ただ“昔っぽい”音楽を作るのではなく、過去の音楽やカルチャーへの敬意を持ちながら、今を生きる感情として、新しい作品へ変えていくことを大切にしています。
PALMTONE RECORDSでは、音楽だけでなく、映像、言葉、ビジュアル、ライブ、物語性まで含めて、一つの“作品”として届けることを目指しています。
また、京都という街から発信することにも意味があると考えています。
歴史と新しさが共存するこの街には、独特の空気と、美意識があります。
その感覚を大切にしながら、日本国内だけでなく、世界へ向けても作品を届けていきたいと思っています。
SNSやストリーミングによって、インディーズでも国境を越えられる時代になりました。
だからこそ、小さなレーベルだからこそできる自由な表現や挑戦を続けたい。
誰かの心に残る作品を、ひとつずつ、丁寧に作っていく。

Every era has its own atmosphere in music.
The melodies and words that moved people in the 70s, 80s, and 90s still carry emotional power today.
That is why we do not simply try to recreate the past.
Instead, we respect the music and culture that came before us, while transforming those influences into new expressions that connect with people living today.
At PALMTONE RECORDS, we see music as more than just sound.
We value the entire artistic experience — including visuals, storytelling, video, live performance, and creative identity.
Being based in Kyoto also has an important meaning for us.
Kyoto is a city where history and modern culture coexist.
It has a unique atmosphere and aesthetic sense that continues to inspire our creativity.
From this city, we hope to share our works not only across Japan, but with listeners around the world.
Today, independent artists and labels can cross borders through streaming platforms and social media.
That is exactly why we want to continue creating freely — taking on challenges that only an independent label can pursue.

冴沢鐘己 / Showky Saezawa
音楽プロデューサー、シンガーソングライター、ギタリスト、ラジオパーソナリティ。
PALMTONE RECORDS代表。京都を拠点に、音楽・映像・ラジオ・カルチャー企画など幅広い活動を行っている。
ロック、シティポップ、歌謡曲、ニューウェーブなどをルーツに持ち、どこか懐かしさを感じさせるメロディーと、現代的な感覚を融合した作品を多数制作。
アーティストプロデュース、作詞・作曲・編曲、MV演出、ビジュアルディレクションまで一貫して手掛けている。
2010年、和楽器とポップスを融合したユニット「TIME FOR LOVE」を結成。
2012年にはイタリア・アルベロベッロ公演を成功させるなど、海外でも活動を展開。
2021年にはインディーポップユニット「Shake My Days」を結成。
プロデュース作品は海外メディアやプレイリストでも多数紹介されており、YouTubeやストリーミングを軸とした海外展開にも力を入れている。
また、2002年にインターネットラジオ「fm GIG」を設立。
昭和歌謡やシティポップをテーマにした配信番組・イベント企画を多数手掛け、YouTubeチャンネル「冴沢鐘己-Showky Saezawa- レトソンチャンネル」では、音楽解説やライブ配信も行っている。
近年は音楽活動に加え、「京都短編ミステリー新人賞」実行委員長として文学・カルチャー分野にも活動を広げている。

Showky Saezawa is a Japanese music producer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and radio personality based in Kyoto, Japan.
He is the founder and producer of PALMTONE RECORDS.
Drawing influence from rock, city pop, kayōkyoku, and new wave music, he creates works that blend nostalgic melodies with a modern sensibility.
In addition to songwriting and producing, he is also involved in video direction, visual design, and creative production.
In 2010, he formed the band TIME FOR LOVE, known for blending traditional Japanese instruments with pop music.
The group has also performed internationally, including a concert in Alberobello, Italy in 2012.
In 2021, he formed the indie pop unit Shake My Days.
His productions have been featured by international media outlets and playlists, while expanding globally through YouTube and streaming platforms.
He is also the founder of the internet radio network fm GIG, established in 2002.
Through radio programs, live events, and his YouTube channel “Showky Saezawa Retro Song Channel” he continues to share his passion for Japanese pop culture and music history.
In recent years, his activities have expanded beyond music into cultural projects, including serving as executive chairman of the Kyoto Short Mystery Newcomer Award.
